Key Outcomes:
Research conducted across 20+ years shows significant improvements following program completion, including reduced symptoms of worry and shyness, decreased family stress, and improved school attendance, academic performance, and social confidence.
Important information:
The Cool Kids Program requires a large commitment from its participants. If engage in individual sessions, then parents are required to attend each session for a short time before the practitioner will work with the child individually and the parents return again at the end of the session for a re-cap. Parents are provided with their own workbook and required to complete some of their own homework/tasks in the session. Participants and families will only see the benefits of the program if all activities and homework is completed by all parties.
For group programs parents will also be provided with a workbook and will be requested have a phone consult with the facilitator before the program starts and a few during the course of the program. These are not compulsory, but this will ensure that your young person gets the most out of the program. Parents of young people in the group program will still be asked to participate in completing their workbook activities.
