Trauma & Emotional Healing Support

Finding Your Way Back to Safety and Inner Peace

Trauma is not just about what happened to us; it is about how those experiences continue to live in our bodies, our minds, and our daily lives. Whether you have experienced a single distressing event, prolonged or complex trauma, or medical trauma (such as navigating fertility struggles or health crises), the impact can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or constantly on edge.

At Green Lotus Well-being, we understand that healing cannot be rushed, and it cannot happen under pressure. That is why our practice is rooted in trauma-informed care—meaning your safety, trust, pacing, and personal choice always come first.

How Trauma Can Impact You

Trauma affects everyone differently. You might find yourself navigating:

  • Hyper-arousal & Anxiety: Feeling constantly on high alert, easily startled, or unable to truly relax.

  • Emotional Numbness or Disconnection: Feeling detached from yourself, your body, or the people around you.

  • Intrusive Thoughts or Memories: Reliving past events through flashbacks, nightmares, or sudden emotional triggers.

  • Shame, Guilt, or Self-Blame: Carrying a heavy emotional burden that is not yours to hold.

  • Relational Strain: Finding it difficult to trust others, set boundaries, or feel safe in relationships.

You do not have to carry this weight alone, and you do not have to fix it all at once.

A Gentle, Tailored Approach to Healing

Healing from trauma is about reclaiming your agency and rebuilding a sense of safety within yourself. Drawing on a Bachelor of Social Work and over 10 years of mental health experience, we use a compassionate combination of evidence-based modalities tailored to your pace and needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you gently understand your thought patterns, build distress tolerance, and reconnect with what matters to you.

  • Nervous System Regulation and Grounding Techniques: Helping you track and regulate your nervous system so you can move out of "survival mode."

  • Play and Creative Therapies: For younger clients or those who find that traditional talk therapy doesn't quite capture what they are feeling, offering non-verbal avenues for expression and release.
